An $86,000 grant from the National Science Foundation will provide SUNY Oswego meteorology faculty member Scott Steiger and his students the tools to chase the most intense snowstorms to collect first-of-its-kind data.

The National Science Foundation recently awarded SUNY Oswego a $200,000 catalyst grant to assess the status of women faculty in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

U.S. News Media Group counts SUNY Oswego among the Top Public Regional Universities in the North for 2011 in rankings released Aug. 17, a week after Princeton Review included Oswego in its book “The Best Northeastern Colleges: 2011 Edition.”
